What Our Private In Home Participants Have To Say

"My friends and I recently had the pleasure of taking a private fermentation and canning lesson with Master Preserver Connor Flynn. What a wonderful experience! The information provided was so interesting and Connor's way of presenting kept us engaged. His professionalism and passion for his art shone through. Quick to add the event wouldn’t have been complete without the assistance of his wife Laura. Together the two of them provided us with a very enjoyable and educational session. We have been texting between ourselves ever since to exchange updates on the results of our work with Connor and Laura and ideas about what to do next."

"I hosted an in-home Food Preservation Course with Connor and Laura, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Communication leading up to the class was smooth and consistent—they made the planning process effortless.

On the day of the class, Connor and Laura arrived fully prepared with all the equipment and ingredients needed. They handled setup seamlessly, creating a welcoming and well-organized space for our group. Connor’s depth of knowledge was impressive, and his teaching style was approachable and thorough. No question felt too small or silly—every inquiry was answered with patience and detail, which made the learning experience comfortable and enjoyable for everyone.

Throughout the day, they provided a beautiful spread of cheeses, breads, ferments, and preserves that elevated the entire experience. It was both educational and indulgent, and truly felt like a celebration of food and community.

It was a pleasure working with Connor and Laura, and since then, I’ve had the opportunity to take part in other classes they've offered—each one just as thoughtfully run and enjoyable as the first. Highly recommended for anyone looking to dive into the world of food preservation in a warm, knowledgeable, and hands-on environment."

Connor and Laura came over and set up the night before for our home canning workshop with our team. They were engaging, provided teaching, real-life examples, and hands on experience to help us better understand home canning safety and use of pressure canners. They catered a fantastic lunch and snacks, shared stories and experiences about their food preservation journey, and made the entire day a lot of fun. We were able to bring our safely canned beef, sausage, salsa, and pickles for a team potluck at our next meeting.
